Mutual relations between the amygdala and pro-inflammatory cytokines: IL-1β and IL-6

چکیده

Interleukin 1 (IL-1) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) are typical examples of multifunctional pro-inflammatory cytokines involved in the regulation immune response, hematopoiesis, inflammation. Both peripheral intraventricular administration these causes acute phase symptoms, e.g. fever, activation hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis psychological depression. The amygdala belongs to structures limbic system response. Increased activity may lead changes role amygdala, medial prefrontal cortex, anterior cingulate cortex or insula. aim study was present mutual interactions between such as 1β (IL-1 beta) (IL-6). Most data included this review comes from animal studies.

Data on pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-17, and IL-6 in the peripheral blood of HIV-infected individuals

Our most recent data indicate differences in the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-17, and IL-6) and malondialdehyde (MDA), a stable end-product of lipid peroxidation in the plasma samples between HIV positive individuals with low CD4 T cell counts <200 mm(3) and HIV positive individuals with CD4 T cell counts between 200 and 300 mm(3) (ee). The data lend support and provide valua...

Association between depression, parameters of adiposity and genetic polymorphisms of pro-inflammatory cytokines: IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-2 and IL-6 in subjects over 55 years old.

BACKGROUND During the last few decades, adiposity has become a relatively common phenomenon worldwide. The available data on the effects of pro-inflammatory factors in both depression and adiposity has been attracting great attention. AIM We sought to assess the prevalence of -889C>T IL-1α, -31T>C and -511C>T IL-1β, -330T>G IL-2 and -174G>C IL-6 genes and their association with adiposity and ...

Carbon nanotubes provoke inflammation by inducing the pro-inflammatory genes IL-1β and IL-6.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are largely produced and widely used because of their novel features, and the annual yield is expected to increase dramatically in the near future. Meanwhile, adverse health influences from exposure to CNTs are widely concerned, partially due to their asbestoid characteristics. In the current study, to assess the inflammatory responses and related mechanisms, we establis...

The pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and TNFα are neurotrophic for enteric neurons.

Intestinal inflammation causes initial axonal degeneration and neuronal death but subsequent axon outgrowth from surviving neurons restores innervation density to the target smooth muscle cells. Elsewhere, the pro-inflammatory cytokines TNFα and IL-1β cause neurotoxicity, leading us to test their role in promoting enteric neuron death. In a rat coculture model, TNFα or IL-1β did not affect neur...

IL-1β/IL-6/CRP and IL-18/ferritin: Distinct Inflammatory Programs in Infections

The host inflammatory response against infections is characterized by the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and acute-phase proteins, driving both innate and adaptive arms of the immune response. Distinct patterns of circulating cytokines and acute-phase responses have proven indispensable for guiding the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases. This review discusses the profiles of...
